PROJECT Overview

Those of us over the age of about 40 know who Alice Cooper is. As Wikipedia says, “Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor whose career spans over 50 years. With a raspy voice and a stage show that features numerous props and stage illusions, including pyrotechnics, guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, reptiles, baby dolls, and dueling swords, Cooper is considered by music journalists and peers to be ‘The Godfather of Shock Rock.’ He has drawn equally from horror films, vaudeville, and garage rock to pioneer a macabre and theatrical brand of rock designed to shock audiences.”

These days, Alice lives in the Arizona desert and has a garage full of hot rods, but has problems driving them most of the year since they all have overheating issues in the desert heat. He wanted a Mustang built to Bullitt specs that would never overheat and had a killer stereo with a CD player. Why a CD player? Other musicians send him demos on CD, and his favorite time to listen to them is when he’s in his car. After reading a story about IPT in Hot Rod Magazine, Alice called us and told us what he wanted, so we built it for him. This is one our R-code Mustangs with full coil-over suspension and all of our tricks, painted in the tradition Bullitt Highland Green paint. It’s a beautiful car that Alice now drives every day, never with a heating problem or any other issue. Jump in, turn on the AC, crank the stereo to listen to the latest demo and life settles down on his drive to the golf course!
